Bahamas Adventure
At the beginning of July I had the opportunity to head to the Bahamas, Paradise Island with five other women in my family.
It was a nice vacation to somewhere hot and absolutely relaxing.
Our first day was spent nice and early on the white sandy beach, The waves were calm, the water was turquoise and warm. It was absolutely wonderful; This was my first vacation to a very hot place. That evening I spent a good 30 minutes attempting to get ready. Now, I say this because I was very badly sun burnt and experienced sun (Heat?) stroke for the first time. .. Yaay. I was definitely the shade of a very ripe tomato. However, a couple of liters of water with advil did the trick and we enjoyed the night, heading off to walk around and have some fun.
The second day, learning my lesson and taking good care of myself, I kept my long hair down and had a very big hat to protect my freshly burnt skin while walking about on the island in the burning sun. The weather did not disappoint the entire time we we were there.
Of course we spent more time on the beach near the end of the day, walking around a little more that evening exploring the stores nearby.
As expected our last day was spent on the beautiful beach, relaxing more in the beautiful water, meeting new people, who funny enough, are from our city.
I had some hotel workers who I befriended earlier in the week, laugh as they saw me walk by always with a towel around me and the big floppy hat.
Note: I did put sunscreen on the first day... clearly it was too late or I didn't put enough. At least I tanned for the first time in my life?
The last day, we woke up very very early to grab something to eat before we headed off to our early morning flight back home. The view from the plane of the island was absolutely gorgeous and all the locals were the nicest people you can meet. I am excited to go back again one day for another adventure.
In a couple of days after I prepare a few more things for school and plan out a few projects I have been working on the last few months, I will begin uploading some photos from my Bahamas adventures. Maybe I will take a little longer in between uploads seeing as I have caught up on a lot of the photos I have been wanting to post the last little while. We'll see. But until then. I hope that whoever is reading this, enjoys what I have posted the last couple of months and will enjoy all the future photos I will be posting.
